Post 4th Sha La La

Unlike many of you, I didn’t have to run home from a long 4th weekend to an office this morning. Good thing too, as I was out in the NJ/NY countryside. Had a great couple of days with in-laws and friends – eating, swimming, playing basketball (beating college guys!) and rockin’ the Ultimate Frisbee.

Country livin’ for a couple of sunny days is good for the soul, but it also makes one yearn for the buzz of the street, the beat of the pavement and the honk of a cab. So here we are.

Couple of cool shows tonight – unfortunately, I’m tapped out and can’t make ’em, but you should: pals The Primms are rockin’ Pianos tonight (8:30pm), opening for Bravo Silva.
And the very tight, super-catchy pop band The Capitol Years are storming Club Midway at 11pm tonight, right after Cavalier King (good name, that!). .

I’m planning to recharge my Oxium insides for Friday night out at Club Midway for Strikes Again! and The Beatings back-to-back!
