Weekend shows

Such a slew of under-the-radar rock shows for the next few nights. Check it!

– Two up-n-coming bands I mentioned earlier this week – Nathan Asher and the Infantry (10pm) and The Prix (12am) share a bill tonight at Arlene’s Grocery. (The Prix play an earlier 10pm set at The Delancey too!)

– Dfactor fave Bobby Bare Jr. plays Maxwells tonight. Check my pix of Bobby Bare Jr. from last year’s CMJ fun.

– UK/US rockers The Primms celebrate their new EP “A Long Way From Eden” with a EP release show at Sin-e Friday night.

– Rock vets The Figgs and Tommy Keene play together Friday night at Maxwells. I saw The Figgs about five years ago at the Knitting Factory and they crank it out fine fine fine. Tommy Keene recently collaborated with Robert Pollard on the fine LP Keene Brothers-Blues & Boogie Shoes.

– Saturday afternoon (2pm-6pm) brings free music on the East River, courtesy of the East River Music Project. Bands scheduled to play are Saturday Looks Good To Me, Mobius Band, Human Television, and Meneguar.
