I must be getting really soft in my music listening lately, as I’m starting to enjoy a lot of Sufjan Stevens songs.
Don’t get me wrong, Sufjan writes a lot of gorgeous songs and melodies; I’ve just never been much of a fan cause he don’t rock so much and I like to feel the guitars slam, the drums crash and the bass pulsate.
But a download of Sufjan’s recent NYC show (courtesy of Ryspace), and a video below of a guy showing us how to play “To Be Alone With You” on his acoustic is helping to slowly get me Sufjanized.
And it’s OK, I’ll get over it. But on a rainy NYC night, Sufjan’s sounding fine.
